Job Description:

This is a 30-hour positionwith the potential to increase to 40 hours per week if available.

Job Duties:

Operates all equipment in an effective, safe andefficient manner Computes and utilizes proper and safe radiationexposure factors. Ensures all screening of patient’s condition iscomplete prior to the initiation of the scan and continue to beaware of the patient’s condition after the CT Scan. Performsroutine maintenance in cleaning all equipment. Complies withhouse-wide BSI precautions and follows recommendations. Follow thesafety steps required to perform their duties and be in compliancewith medical, state and federal safety standards. They must be ableto demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide careappropriately. Must be proficient in all aspects of ordered CTprocedures. This service provides diagnostic images forinterpretation by the Radiologist. Effectively utilizes allnecessary computer systems in compliance with HIPPA guidelines.

Obtains and records all patient data as required by the medicalcenter, state, JCAHO or other agencies. Ensure proper charging ofall procedures, coding, and modifiers are correct. Reviews imagesfor high quality. Assist in performing QC, QA, QI or ACR asnecessary. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

Education and NationalCredentials:

• Graduate of an approved accredited program ofRadiologic Technology.
• ARRT (R)(CT) Registered
• Current CPRcertification.

State Licensure:

Kentucky

• KBMIRT RadiationOperator’s License
• Radiography (Temporary or Permanent)
• Associate has 12 months from the issuance of a Temporary KBMIRTRadiation Operator’s License
• Radiography to obtain ARRT(R).Indiana
• Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) License
• (Radiologic Technologist or Radiology Student Permit)
• Associatehas 6 months from the issuance of a Radiology Student Permit toobtain ARRT(R).

Specialized Knowledge:

• Basic knowledge orexperience in other modalities of Radiology.
• Effectivecommunication skills
• Proven competency to inject intravenouscontrast agents.
• Advanced knowledge of cross section anatomy.

Kind and Length of Experience:

• Adequate clinical experience froman approved program.
