Radiologic CT Technologist Position Available In Guilford, North Carolina

Overview:

The Radiologic Computed Tomography Technologist isresponsible for providing high-quality patient care during ComputedTomography (CT) procedures and diagnostic imaging examinationsusing approved workflows and procedural protocols. Working underdirect supervision, this position uses specialized computerizedx-ray equipment to produce cross sectional images of the humananatomy which aid radiologists in diagnosing a wide variety ofdiseases and disorders.

Performs routine and special CT and diagnosticexams adhering to established protocols to minimize additionalimaging and limit radiation dose, maintaining exam productivitywithin established benchmarks. Follows instructions from physiciansregarding which area of the patient?s body needs imaging. Talks thepatient through the procedure and answer questions to lower theiranxiety and increase their understanding of the procedure.

Positions the patient correctly and adjusts the imaging equipmentto the specified position to create quality images of specificparts of the body. Reviews and assesses patient medical historiesto determine appropriate imaging parameters for accurate results.

Operates and maintains advanced CT equipment, adhering to safetyprotocols and conducting regular maintenance checks to ensureprecise and reliable imaging results. Records and documents all CTscans and associated information in Computerized Health Information(CHL) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS),verifying charges and addressing discrepancies for smooth workflow.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION

Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent; Graduate of aRadiology, Imaging or related educational program

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING

BLS(CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider Will accept anyof the licenses below:
