Radiation Technician The Surgery Center at Mills River Mills River, NC 28759 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical imaging and a solid understanding of anatomy and physiology. This role is crucial in providing high-quality patient care through the operation of imaging equipment and assisting in various diagnostic procedures. Duties Operate and maintain medical imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Conduct imaging procedures according to established protocols while adhering to safety standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide accurate imaging results for diagnosis and treatment. Maintain patient records, ensuring all documentation is complete and complies with medical terminology standards. Assist in acute care settings, providing support during critical care procedures as needed. Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques to enhance service delivery. Assist with OR duties, including but not limited to, room turn over, opening supplies, stocking and equipment PM planning. Facility RSO Requirements Strong knowledge of medical imaging techniques and equipment operation. Proficiency in anatomy knowledge, physiology knowledge, and medical terminology. Experience or familiarity with radiation therapy practices is preferred. Ability to work effectively in acute care and critical care environments. Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare team members. A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in healthcare.
