TheMammography Technologist I assists physicians in the performance ofdiagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patientand operating the mammographic equipment in order to obtaindiagnostic images. Qualifications:

Education:

Associates degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school ofradiology, required.

  • Experience:

    One year experience inmammography scanning, preferred.

  • Licensure/Certification:
  • Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography and Mammography
  • RT(R)(M), required.
  • Certified and registered by ARRT in BoneDensitometry
  • RT(R)(M)(BD), preferred.
  • Refer to the Life SupportTraining Policy

for life support training requirement,required.

  • Applicable state license, required.

Additional Skillsrequired:

Analytical ability, basic computer skills, goodcommunication skills, ability to adapt to procedures based on ageof patient, ability to interpret information to identify eachpatient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specificneeds. Prepares patient for procedures. Operates mammographyequipment.
