Weekdays. This position is Sign-onBonus eligible. Based on eligibility. Job Summary Performsradiographic examinations with minimal supervision under thedirection of the Radiologist. Coordinates daily activities toinclude performing examinations and associated clerical duties.

Essential Functions

• Performs and assists with radiographic andfluoroscopicprocedures.
• Documents patient history pertaining tospecific procedure onrequisition submitted byphysician.
• Confirmspatient identification by verbal confirmation and validatingproofof identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast mediaasrequired.
• Consults with radiologist and other physiciansasnecessary.
• Selects and operates equipment as dictated bydemands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct andadequate anatomic positioningskills.
• Maintains appropriaterecords as required by departmentalstandards.

Physical RequirementsRequires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients fromwheelchairs and stretchers. Handles equipment and monitoringsupplies. Must have good oral and written communication skills tointeract with patients and hospital staff. May be required tofrequently stretch, bend, twist, squat or kneel in operatingradiographic equipment. Must be able to use hands for powergripping, speed work and precision during manipulation ofradiographic equipment and in the case of injured and diseasedpatients. Vision and hearing for distances of up to 10 feet isnecessary. May beexposed to various physical conditions throughoutthe workday such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs, andbeing near moving equipment. Able to adapt to changes intemperature andhumidity. Education, Experience and CertificationsRequires successful completion of a formal Radiology Tech Programin an AMA approved facility, ARRT registration, and Basic LifeSupport for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) from AHA. If a newgraduate, must be registry eligible with registry completion within1 year of hire date. Pay Range $28.05
