Job DescriptionOverview This Rad Tech position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of$15,000. This full-time position is 36 hours/week, 3rd shift, Friday,Saturday, Sunday. The Radiologic Technologist II works independently and/or assistsphysicians/APCs in the performance of diagnostic and / ortherapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating thex-ray equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images in the acutesetting. The technologist is responsible for inpatient & outpatientprocedures, the emergency room, fluoroscopy, portables, and theoperating rooms. Qualifications Education:

Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program.

Certification required within 6 months of hire post-graduation froman accredited Radiology Program, required. 2 Year / AssociateDegree, preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of one year experience in diagnosticradiology, preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

ARRT certification in Radiography -RT(R), required. Applicable state licensure as required, required.

Post-graduates from an accredited Radiology Program with berequired to pass their ARRT registry within 6 months of completingprogram, required. Additional Skills/Requirements (required): Applies principles of ALARA to minimize radiation exposure topatient, self, and others. Demonstrates current knowledge of federal and state radiationsafety laws. Properly utilizes personnel monitoring devices. Ensures proper equipment performance and schedules maintenancefor emergent needs. Properly operates radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment. Independently performs radiographic and non-interpretivefluoroscopic procedures, including intraoperative and mobileprocedures, as prescribed by a licensed practitioner. Assists a licensed practitioner in the performance ofradiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, including allintraoperative and mobile procedures including the following:

ERCP’s, bronchoscopy, mini-c-arms, post reductions. Mobile imaging including lines and pacers andneonates.
