• -Skills required:o
• Examinesrequests and verifies orders on each patient.
• Questions orders tothe Radiologist before performing exam or contacts orderingprovider when there are discrepancies.o
• Properly identify(Using two patient identifiers) and assist patients while offeringa brief explanation of the procedures.
• Prepares patients for theprocedure with a full explanation and documents.o
• Interviewspatients for a complete medical history.
• Reviews in-patients, ER,and outpatients EMR’s to obtain pertinent clinical historyo
• -Assumes responsibility for the exam from beginning of exam untilcompletion of dictated results.
