X-ray Technician Coastline Urgent Care PLLC 25 Office Park Drive, Jacksonville, NC 28546 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Operate X-ray equipment to produce diagnostic images of patients’ bodies. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort. Position patients correctly to obtain the best possible images while minimizing exposure to radiation. Maintain accurate records of patient information and imaging results. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging findings and patient care. Adhere to safety protocols and standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Assist in other imaging modalities such as CT, PET scans, mammography, and sonography as needed. Stay updated on advancements in imaging technology and techniques. Skills Proficient in operating X-ray machines and understanding imaging techniques. Knowledge of medical terminology related to radiology and anatomy. Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy to accurately position patients for imaging. Ability to work effectively under pressure in an Urgent situation. Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare team members. Attention to detail in capturing high-quality images and maintaining patient records.
