ResponsibilitiesAs an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible forthe integration of scientific knowledge and technical skills witheffective patient interaction to provide quality patient care anduseful diagnostic information. This responsibility includescompleting scans effectively and efficiently while maintaining thehighest standards of patient care possible in order to provide themost remarkable patient experience.
Complete scans effectively andefficiently:
Collect pertinent data about the patient and theprocedureSelect the most appropriate, cost-effective action planafter reviewing all pertinent data and assessing the patient’sabilities and conditionScreen the patient for ferrous andRF-sensitive material before the patient enters the magneticfieldPosition and prepare patients for magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) proceduresSelect appropriate immobilization devicesReview thepatient’s chart and the physician’s request to determine optimalscanning parameters for the suspected pathologyPrepare andadminister contrast agents in accordance with state and federalregulationsEnter necessary patient information to initiate thescan(s)Assess and monitor the patient’s physical and mental statusthroughout the procedureReview images to determine if additionalscans will enhance the diagnostic value of the procedureDocumentdiagnostic, treatment and patient data in the appropriate record.

QualificationsEducation:
Graduate of anaccredited radiologic technology programARRT registered withadvanced registry in MRIMust complete required CEU’s in a timelymanner to ensure Certification remains activeActive statelicensure, where applicableCPR Certification is required
PriorExperience:
0+ years of experience as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI) Technologist, required2+ years of experience as an MRITechnologist, preferred
