Certification Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CT Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures using CT equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality imaging, patient safety, and accurate data handling in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care & Identification:
Verify patient identity and pregnancy status (if applicable) Obtain patient history and ensure understanding of procedures Provide compassionate care, especially for patients needing extra attention
CT Imaging:
Perform scans according to established protocols Manipulate and reconstruct images (multi-planar and 3D) Apply knowledge of CT algorithms and appropriate image settings
Contrast Administration:
Administer oral and IV contrast following safety protocols Establish IV lines and check lab values as required Determine contrast eligibility per protocol
Image Management:
Transfer and verify images in
PACS, EMR
(EPIC), and QC systems Ensure accurate demographic and charge information Cancel duplicate orders to prevent billing errors
Additional Duties:
Maintain a clean and organized work environment Support workflow and scheduling efficiency Participate in training new staff and students Document incidents for quality improvement
Qualifications:
Required Education:
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Science program
Required Certifications & Licensure:
Registered or registry-eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Advanced certification in CT BLS certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA or ARC) Registry-eligible candidates must provide proof of graduation and obtain certification within one year
Preferred Experience:
Prior training and experience relevant to CT imaging procedures Why ARMStaffing?
