Position Overview:

The Radiologic Technologist will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to support patient care in our outpatient clinic setting. This position requires a solid foundation in radiologic procedures, attention to detail, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach. The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure accurate diagnostics, maintain equipment, and contribute to quality assurance efforts. Travel between clinic sites may occasionally be required. The starting hourly rate for this position is $26.54/hour, with compensation commensurate upon education, experience, certification, and internal equity.

Compensation:

Starting at $26.54/hour or more depending on experience and education. Benefits begin the first of the month following 60 days of employment from the new hire orientation date. This is a non-exempt position.

Key Responsibilities:
Diagnostic Imaging:

Perform X-rays, ultrasounds, and other radiologic exams, particularly for urological patients. Ensure precise positioning and apply radiation protection practices.

Equipment Maintenance:

Monitor and maintain radiology and lab equipment; report malfunctions promptly to ensure operational safety and accuracy.

Patient Care:

Deliver compassionate, clear communication to patients about procedures; ensure patient comfort and safety throughout imaging and lab processes.

Collaboration:

Work closely with urologists, nurses, and providers to ensure effective and coordinated patient care.

Quality Assurance:

Implement quality control measures and participate in continuous improvement efforts.

Compliance:

Adhere to all healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and privacy laws; remain up to date on policy changes.

Professional Development:

Actively pursue educational opportunities to remain current with industry best practices and technologies.

Communication:

Maintain clear and timely documentation of procedures, results, and patient interactions.

Teamwork:

Promote a supportive team culture by mentoring peers, assisting new employees, and demonstrating respect and professionalism.

Other Duties:

Perform additional tasks as assigned within the scope of licensure.

Position Requirements:
Minimum Education:

Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.

Experience:

At least one year of radiologic technologist experience preferred.

Required Registration/License/Certification:

ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required at hire.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledgeable in radiologic and lab procedures.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate respectfully and effectively with patients, families, staff, and providers.
Demonstrated proficiency in safe patient care delivery within clinical guidelines.
Understanding of the continuum of patient care and healthcare team dynamics.
Highly skilled in multitasking, organization, and attention to detail.
Commitment to exceptional customer service and maintaining patient dignity and safety.

Physical Demands:

Capable of lifting, pushing, or pulling more than 50 pounds.
Manual dexterity and physical mobility required for patient positioning and equipment handling.
Frequent walking, standing, bending, twisting, and repetitive hand motions throughout the shift.
Occasional exposure to ionizing radiation, chemicals, and confined spaces.

Working Conditions:

Full-time, variable shifts may include evenings, weekends, or holidays.
Continuous movement and prolonged standing throughout shifts ≥ 8 hours.
Exposure to electrical/mechanical equipment and occasional risk of bloodborne pathogens.
Occasional travel to other clinic sites.
