Job Description:
Position Summary:
Performs all aspects of a CT exam as ordered by a physician and produces accurate andplete records upon its conclusion. Providespassion andfort to all patients throughout their exam.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Employees are expected to work consistently to demonstrate the mission, vision, beliefs, core values and standards of behavior of theanization. § Reviews patient medical information and reconciles physician requests with exams ordered § Completes essential documentation such as consents and questionnaires prior to beginning patients exam § Performs exams in CT including trauma, orthopedic, fluoroscopic, contrast exams and invasive procedures § Inspects all images performed for quality and proper documentation. Presentspleted images to Radiologist for interpretation § Assists Radiologist with invasive procedures as required § Prepares and administers IV, oral and rectal contrast as indicated by protocol § Assists supervisor in teaching and/or monitoring new personnel § Practices radiation safety by adhering to ALARA guidelines § Uses patient safety equipment effectively to move patients. Utilizes lead shields and aprons when appropriate § Communicates effectively with others within the department as well as outside of the department
