Job Summary Reporting directly to the MRI Section Leader, the MRI Technologistperforms a variety of MRI imaging procedures and is responsible forpatient care and safety in the MRI environment. Interacts with theRadiologist and patients to ensure successful accomplishment of MRIimaging. Participates in QA activities.
Minimum Qualifications Education Associate’s Degree in an Allied Health Field. Graduate of anaccredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Experience Two years as a medical imaging technologist preferred.
Licensureand/or Certification Current registration as an imaging technologist required. Mustobtain MRI registration through ARRT within one year of hire as MRItechnologist. BLS healthcare provider required.
Skills Must have proficient IV skills.
Proficient in MR safety. Strong communication and customer service skills. Must be computer proficient including PACS and HIS/RIS. Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate inEnglish. Ability to maintain confidential information required.
