Required Qualifications:

• One year’s experience as aMammography Tech
• Current state license in compliance with stateregulations
• Current BLS certification ( AHA/ARC )

PreferredQualifications:

• Current ARRT Certification
• Other certificationsand licenses may be required for this position

Summary:

TheMammography Technologist implements orders from physicians andassists with procedures to help diagnose and treat breast diseasein patients. They perform screenings and diagnostic imagingprocedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of breastdiseases. They ensure accurate imaging, maintain compliance withradiation safety standards, and provide compassionate care topatients. Working collaboratively with physicians and healthcareteams, they prioritize patient safety and comfort while maintaininghigh-quality imaging practices.

Essential Work Functions:

• Explains procedure to patients and answers questions if they arise
• Positions patient appropriately for imaging procedure
• Maintainsmedical imaging equipment, ensures machines are functioningproperly, and organizes the procedure room for optimal safety andefficiency
• Monitor image quality during procedures, adjusting asneeded achieve diagnostic accuracy
• Collaborate effectively withradiologists and healthcare teams as necessary
• Follows hospitalpolicies, safety regulations, and infection control procedures
• Practice infection prevention through consistent hand hygiene, useof PPE, and isolation precautions
• Performs other duties asassigned within the scope of practice for

• The ability to read,write, & communicate in the English language is required
• Abilityto read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbalinstructions, and proficiency in PC skills

• Towork effectively with a variety of personnel (professional andancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism

• Ability to grasp, fine manipulation,pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting withprocedures and/or using department equipment.

• Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the generalpublic, customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must beable to work under close supervision occasionally as well asworking without assistance from other personnel.
