Sherwood Urgent Care is looking for experienced Radiology/X-RayTechs to join our team in Batesville, AR.

The centers are open sevendays a week: Mon. to Fri., 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4p.m., and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Additionally, all SherwoodUrgent Care centers are Accredited Care Centers – a designationfrom the Urgent Care Association which recognizes the company’scommitment to safety, quality, and scope of services.
JOB SUMMARY
This position will perform x-ray testing including body mechanicsand patient movement using knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
Operates diagnostic equipment, develops film and prepares the roomwith the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure, aswell as perform Medical Assistant duties. Full-time team memberswork a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule, consisting of 12-hourweekday shifts and every-other weekend. Our PRN (per diem) teammembers are scheduled on an as-needed basis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect theexpectations of this position but are not intended to be allinclusive. Other duties may be assigned.
- Promptly greets patientswhen entering waiting area, exam room, and laboratory or x-ray room
- Consistently communicates with patients on wait times; providesdirection to the next step in the treatment process
- Providessolutions to patient problems and recognizes and seeks help inemergent/hazardous situations
- Executes follow-up calls with asense of urgency
- Assist front desk personnel with patient checkin/out procedures when necessary
- Obtains and accurately documentspatient vital signs and weight, takes brief history, past medical,family and social history current medications, allergies and otherpertinent historical information as appropriate
- Assists withpatient transfers
- Assists with procedures directly supervised bythe provider
- Follows documentation procedures and completesrequired documentation related to patient visit.
- Performs timelyradiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment byattending physician
- Performs necessary quality control proceduresto ensure quality exams are performed
- Prepares patients forradiologic procedures and follows established clinical andregulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care;including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques.
- Ensures that equipment is in proper working order and reports anymalfunctions to the Manager or provider on duty.
- Followsdocumentation procedures and completes required documentationrelated to patient visit.
- Assumes responsibility for maintainingand improving diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with thesupport and assistance of outside educational resources
- Responsible for maintaining current licensure and certification forthe facility radiology equipment and licensure
WHAT’S REQUIRED?
- High school diploma or equivalent
- BLS Certification
- AR StateX-Ray License
- ARRT Certification preferred
- Experience as aMedical Assistant is preferred
