Required Qualifications:

Successful completion of a Radiology program of study withspecialization and training in MRI One years’ experience as an MRITech Valid Radiology/MRI license in compliance with stateregulations Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

PreferredQualifications:

Current ARRT or equivalent certification CurrentARMRIT or equivalent certification Other certifications andlicenses may be required for this position

Summary:

The MRITechnologist operates magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners toproduce high-quality 3D images used in medical diagnosis. Theyinteract directly with patients and administer intravenousinjections of contrast dye as needed and collaborate withhealthcare teams to provide accurate diagnostic results. MRITechnologists are responsible for maintaining equipment, adheringto safety protocols, and ensuring patient-centered care throughoutthe imaging process.

Essential Work Functions:

Screen patients forMRI safety and contraindications prior to procedure, ensuringcompliance with safety protocols Educate patients on MRI procedureand answers questions if they arise Maintain, inspect, andtroubleshoot MRI equipment to ensure proper functionality andreport any malfunctions Starts I.V.s, administers contrast mediaper orders and protocol, monitoring patients for adverse reactionsMonitor image quality during procedures and make adjustments toscanning parameters for optimal diagnostic results Document allprocedure details, including imaging parameters and patientobservations, in compliance with hospital policies Collaborate withradiologists and healthcare providers to ensure accurate diagnosticimaging and timely delivery of results Maintain a clean, organizedworkspace in compliance with infection control and hospitalpolicies Follows hospital safety rules and procedures includinginfection control and radiation safety protocols Performs otherduties as assigned within the scope of an
