RequiredQualifications:

One year of recent experience as a CT TechnologistValid Radiology license in compliance with state regulationsCurrent BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Preferred Qualifications:

Current ARRT Certification Other certifications and licenses may berequired for this position

Summary:

The CT Tech operatescomputerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-sectionalimages of patients’ bodies for diagnostic purposes. They preparepatients for the procedure, position patients with considerationsfor safety and image accuracy, ensure proper imaging protocols arefollowed, and work closely with radiologists to obtain high-qualityimages for accurate diagnosis. CT Techs also maintain equipment,keep patient records, and follow safety procedures to minimizeradiation exposure and provide compassionate care to patientsthroughout the imaging process.

Essential Work Functions:

OperateCT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs,and tissue for diagnostic purposes Prepare patients for procedures,explain imaging process, and position patients appropriately Setappropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomyand pathology Provide high-quality images to Radiologist forinterpretation Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospitalpolicies to ensure patient and staff safety Perform routinemaintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment to ensure properfunctionality Document patient information, imaging parameters, andprocedural details accurately in the hospital’s system Collaboratewith radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionalsto deliver timely diagnostic services Ability to adapt to differentCT equipment and protocols across various healthcare facilitiesPerform other duties as assigned within the scope of

CT Techpractice Required Essential Skills:

Critical thinking, serviceexcellence and good interpersonal communication skills The abilityto read, write, & communicate in the English language is requiredAbility to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbalinstructions, and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities

• Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment(50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending Interpersonal Skills
• Towork effectively with a variety of personnel (professional andancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills
• Ability to grasp, fine manipulation,pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting withprocedures and/or using department equipment. Mental Requirements
• Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public,customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure.
