Xray Technologist Job Description Join our team as a Xray Technologist, where you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic orthopedic office. You will play a crucial role in patient care by explaining procedures, preparing patient charts, and maintaining a safe and professional work environment. Responsibilities Explain procedures and processes to patients. Room patients, take vital signs, update charts, and escort them to the imaging room. Perform medical assistant duties, including recording vital signs, collecting health history, and updating the EMR. Maintain a safe, healthy, and professional work environment. Prepare patient charts according to the daily and/or weekly schedule, ensuring all records are accurate and available prior to visits. Handle interoffice phone calls, respond to emails and communications from physicians and staff, and monitor the fax inbox—assigning documents to the appropriate secretary. Review and complete assigned tasks throughout the day. Accurately complete and submit timesheets for payroll processing by the close of business on the last day of each pay period. Complete all required training, including new hire onboarding, departmental training, and annual compliance in a timely manner. Perform other duties as assigned by the Office Manager based on business needs. Essential Skills Laboratory skills Medical and medical technology expertise Experience of more than 6 months Ability to handle about 30 patients a day Comfortable performing both technical and CMA work Additional Skills & Qualifications Any experience in X-ray Advanced MD experience, with Epic EMR experience preferred Front and back office experience Work Environment You will work in a fast-paced orthopedic office, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, and no weekends. The patient flow is scheduled, allowing for a predictable workday, in contrast to urgent care environments. The office can handle a mix of 30 patients a day or as few as 8, depending on the provider’s presence.
