The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and providing high-quality images for diagnostic evaluation. This role is crucial in supporting physicians in diagnosing and treating patients effectively. Duties Perform X-ray examinations on patients, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and guidelines. Operate various medical imaging equipment including but not limited to diagnostic radiology machines, PET scans, and mammography units. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly. Maintain accurate records of patient information and imaging results. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess patient needs and provide appropriate imaging services. Ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of imaging equipment, reporting any malfunctions as necessary. Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques to enhance service delivery. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to diagnostic imaging. Experience in urgent care settings or Level II trauma centers is preferred. Proficiency in various imaging modalities including sonography and mammography. Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations accurately while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members. Attention to detail in capturing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
