/n A MRITechnologist performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans toproduce detailed and high-resolution images of internal organs,tissues, and structures within the body. These images assistphysicians in diagnosing and monitoring various medical conditionssuch as injuries, diseases, and abnormalities. The MRI Technologistoperates specialized imaging equipment, ensures patient safety, andcollaborates with healthcare teams to provide accurate diagnosticinformation. /n/n
Key Responsibilities:
/n /n
- Perform MRI scansusing specialized equipment to capture detailed images of thebody’s internal structures. /n
- Prepare patients for MRIprocedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly,and ensuring their comfort and safety during the procedure. /n
- Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images, adjustingsettings as necessary to ensure accurate diagnostic results. /n
- Monitor and support patients throughout MRI procedures, ensuringtheir safety and comfort in a confined, noise-controlledenvironment. /n
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, andother healthcare professionals to review MRI images and assist inthe interpretation of findings. /n
- Maintain accurate and detailedpatient records, including imaging data and scan results, forphysician review. /n
- Ensure proper handling and maintenance ofMRI equipment, including conducting safety checks and regularcalibration. /n
- Adhere to safety protocols related to MRI,including monitoring patients for any potential adverse reactionsand using protective measures as needed. /n
- Educate patients onMRI procedures, preparing them for potential claustrophobicconcerns and managing any anxiety during the process. /n
- Staycurrent on advancements in MRI technology, imaging techniques, andpatient care standards through continuing education.

Qualifications:

Education:
Associate’s or Bachelor’sdegree in Radiologic Technology, MRI Technology, or a relatedfield. /n

Certification:
/n /n
- Certified MRI Technologist (CMR)certification from the American Registry of RadiologicTechnologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Magnetic ResonanceImaging Technologists (ARMRIT). /n
- Basic Life Support (BLS)certification required. /n /n /n
