The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, with experience in urgent care and trauma settings. As an X-ray Technician, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients by performing high-quality imaging procedures. This position requires proficiency in operating X-ray equipment and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in both Level I and Level II Trauma Centers. Duties Perform X-ray examinations on patients, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging techniques. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of imaging procedures. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and radiation protection standards. Operate CT scanners as needed for advanced imaging requirements. Assist in the preparation of patients for nuclear medicine scans when necessary. Provide clear instructions to patients regarding the imaging process to alleviate anxiety. Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure optimal functionality. Stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and emergency medicine practices. Requirements Certification as an X-ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist from an accredited program. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to imaging. Experience working in urgent care or trauma environments preferred. Familiarity with CT scanning procedures is a plus. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations typical of emergency medicine settings. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and medical staff. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining patient safety during procedures. Current CPR certification is required.
