The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray technology to assist in the evaluation and diagnosis of patients. This role is critical in providing high-quality images that aid physicians in making informed medical decisions. As an X-ray Technician, you will work closely with patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during imaging procedures. Duties Perform X-ray scans and other diagnostic imaging procedures as ordered by physicians. Ensure the proper positioning of patients to obtain optimal images while minimizing exposure to radiation. Conduct diagnostic evaluations and collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results. Maintain and operate radiographic equipment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and standards. Document patient information, imaging procedures, and results accurately in medical records. Provide patient education regarding the imaging process and address any concerns or questions they may have. Stay updated on advancements in diagnostic radiology techniques and technologies. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment within the imaging department. Qualifications Completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology or related field. Certification as an X-ray Technician (ARRT or equivalent) is preferred. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging techniques, including sonography when applicable. Experience working in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center is a plus. Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations accurately and efficiently under pressure. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members. Attention to detail with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Familiarity with safety protocols related to radiation exposure and patient handling.
