Position in this function isresponsible for performing and reformatting the CT examination thatcreates the images needed for diagnosis and the performance ofinterventional and therapeutic procedures. This also includescreating a tranquil environment, so patients will be able to adhereto examination instructions.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Identifyanatomical orientation on all required images and assures properfile identification on all images
  • Demonstrate competencyperforming all computerized tomography procedures and the operationof all related equipment
  • Greet patients, obtain history, andenters information in computer system
  • Scan according toguidelines
  • Observe patient vital signs during examination
  • Provide instruction/mentoring to new hires
  • Maintain CPRcertification
  • Perform procedures in compliance with Standards ofCare, facility and regulatory requirements, and ARRT Standards ofEthics
  • Maintain quality standards as it relates to HIPPAregulations
  • Assist in the completion of the accreditation processfor American College of Radiology (ACR) every three years
  • Demonstrate a positive patient experience; share information withpatients, providing knowledge about the procedure; ensuring theyare aware of follow-up steps and requirements
  • Demonstrate apositive experience from the referring providers; providingexcellent quality
  • Consistently submit images of diagnosticquality without recommendation of additional image acquisition;performs quality assurance on images and equipment; demonstratescompetency in utilizing systems
  • Make decisions authoritativelyand wisely after adequately contemplating various available coursesof action
  • Contribute to efficient out-patient Operations,maximizing the productivity of assigned modality
  • Observes patientfor vital signs during examination
  • Utilize sterile techniquespreventing contamination
  • Identify anatomical orientation on allrequired images and assures proper file identification on allimages
  • Review each examination for technical accuracy, presentscompleted examinations to radiologist, and communicates pertinentdata to persons responsible for the care of patients following theprocedure
  • Demonstrate teamwork; interacts in a positive mannerwith employees and contributes to a collaborative work environment
  • Meet or exceed deadlines, follows through, demonstratingaccountability, flexibility and adaptability
  • Enhance professionalgrowth and maintain certifications, registration and active CME’sthrough education programs, conferences, and workshops Optum NY/NJwas formed in 2022 by bringing together Riverside Medical Group,CareMount Medical and ProHealth Care. The regional alignmentcombines resources and services across the care continuum
  • frompreventative medicine to diagnostics to treatment and beyond acrossNew York, New Jersey, and Southern Connecticut.

Required Qualifications:
  • High schooldiploma or equivalent
  • ARRT (American Registry of RadiologicTechnologist) CT certified
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associatedegree or Baccalaureate degree in radiography, radiation therapy,or nuclear medicine
  • 2 years of experience in computed tomography
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability tocommunicate with patients, visitors, and employees within theorganization
  • Ability to adequately use, or learn to use, thedepartment’s computerized system and its associated devices
Physical Demands:
  • Requires standing and walking for extendedperiods of time
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighting upto 50 pounds
  • Must be able to assist patients weighing 300 poundsor more and place them in appropriate positions for the operationof equipment
  • Requires eyesight correctable to 20/20 to operateequipment and review images Core customers and key relationships:

  • External Medical Partners The hourly range for thisrole is $28.

61 to $56.06 per hour based on full-time employment.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to locallabor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.
