Position Overview Under the direction of a radiologist, the Diagnostic X-Ray Technologist performs high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures—including radiographic and fluoroscopic exams—utilizing state-of-the-art imaging technology. This position plays a critical role in patient diagnosis and care delivery.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
- Graduate of an American Medical Association (A.
M.A.) approved School of Radiologic Technology (2- or 4-year program)
Experience:
- Open to both entry-level and experienced candidates
Licensure/Certification:
Required:
New York State Radiologic Technologist License
Preferred:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification – (R) Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized X-ray procedures with precision and patient-centered care
- Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment according to established protocols
- Ensure radiation safety standards for patients, staff, and self
- Communicate effectively with radiologists and interdisciplinary team members
