Our client is seeking the services of one RadiologicTechnologist for its medical unit. This medical unit is locatedinside of a correctional facility and will therefore involvetreatment of incarcerated individuals.
Duties to be performedinclude:
Reading and interpreting requests and instructions ofphysicians concerning radiological examination procedures todetermine what procedures are to be undertaken. Positioning andplacing incarcerated individuals before and during examinations toobtain the required radiologic views. Operating radiologicequipment by setting controls and making required adjustments usingguidelines and standard procedures and as directed by physicians tocontrol exposure time, kilo-voltage, milliamperage, appropriatefilters and portals. Positions appropriate shields and protectivedevices on individuals. Performs office support and clerical workto meet the requirements of the radiology department. Monitorsequipment daily. Following and maintaining New York StateDepartment of Health (DOH) Bureau of Environmental RadiationProtection, rules and regulations. Follow State and Departmentregulations and guidelines. Continually maintaining educationcredits required to maintain licensure. Must be able to use D.R.Equipment. Must have an understanding of computer based PACSsystem.
