- Monday toThursday no Fridays or Weekends
- Monday and Wednesday 8am to 6 pmTuesday and Thursday 8 am to 3:30 pm
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepares and positions patients for diagnostic imaging procedures
- Explains procedures and process to patients
- Moves imagingequipment into the specified position; determines exposure factorson the basis of height, weight, the portion of the body involved,and the degree of penetration required; and adjusts equipmentcontrols to set exposure factors and produce images of properdetail, density, and accuracy
- Practices radiation protectiontechniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff
- Performsspecialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures
- Processesimages and reviews them for proper identification and qualitycontrol
- Prepares images for reading by the radiologist orrequesting physician
- Performs routine maintenance, diagnosesmalfunctions, and makes minor repairs on radiologic equipment,arranging for repairs as needed You’ll be rewarded and recognizedfor your performance in an environment that will challenge you andgive you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your roleas well as provide development for other roles you may beinterested in.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma / GED
- License or temporary permit to practice Diagnostic Radiology inthe state of New York
- American Registry of RadiologicTechnologists (ARRT) certification or willing to obtain in 180 days
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 years of experience working as aRadiologic Technologist
- Experience with Epic EMR software
- Orthopedic experience The hourly range for this role is $23.
70 to$46.35 per hour based on full-time employment.
