As a n InterventionalRadiology Technologist, you will assist interventional radiologistsin the performance of complex diagnostic and therapeuticangiographic procedures. Primary Duties:

Performs and/or assists in all angiographic and interventionalimaging procedures as well as myelography, arthrography andvenography. Prepares and positions patients and operates /monitorsimaging devices during procedures. Utilizes immobilization devicesand radiation protective measures during the operation of imagingequipment. Evaluates radiographs for technical accuracy andquality. Assures that studies are properly identified and filed inpatient film jackets. Verifies the procedure(s) performed asindicated by the physician on the superbill. Utilizes physicalassessment skills, monitoring devices (pulse, respiration, bloodpressure, EKG), intravenous care and aseptic techniques inproviding patient care. Completes required quality control andquality assurance records, and summarizes services rendered forstatistical reports. Ensures that supply levels in the procedurerooms are adequate and notifies the individual responsible forordering replenishment stock when appropriate . Takes call on arotating basis, for afterhours/weekend coverage .

Qualifications:

Associate degree or 1 years formal training in an AMA approvedprogram in Radiologic Technology . 4 months of job-relatedexperience in the performance of angiography and other complexradiological examinations. American Registry of RadiologicTechnologists (ARRT) examination and be ARRT certified. Thisposition has a hiring range of $34.98 – $62.52
