CT Technologist Dutiesand Responsibilities:

/n/n

• Confirm patient identity and examverification prior to initiating the scan; strictly adhering todepartment policy and procedure for patient safety/n/n
• Coordinatewith physicians to provide diagnostic imaging./n/n
• Prepare patientsfor scans and explain the procedure tohelp them feelcomfortable./n/n
• Insert IVs when necessary for thetest./n/n
• Positions patients accordingly, which may include liftingor moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patienthandling./n/n
• Maintains accurate patient record keeping by properlydocumenting all necessary components within EPIC to includeidentifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS systemcorrectly upon exam completion./n/n
• Maintain a clean and safescanning facility.
