The Radiology Technologistwill perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imagingprocedures, will provide support for other imaging technologists asneeded, and help to facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow.

The technologist will demonstrate flexibility by working othershifts and/or at other campuses as needed or required. Thetechnologist must be able to troubleshoot basic maintenance,participate in QA, and resolve issues related to image processingand the image archiving system. Expectation to participate inongoing education, safety, and technical advances within theirscope of licensure. The Technologist will adhere to, and maintain,the expected imaging competencies as outlined by management.

  • Ensurescompliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care asdeemed appropriate by State and Federal agencies, the hospital, andother regulatory entities.
  • Performs examinations/procedures asneeded to assist in patient throughput within the scope of theManager’s license(s), certification(s), and/or documentedcompetencies.
  • Demonstrates flexibility by working other shiftsand at other campuses as needed or required.
  • Ensures completedexams are scanned and stored correctly in PACS.
  • Ability to followPACS downtime procedures as a PACS Superuser and escalate anyproblem(s) or issue(s) to the PACS administrator or Designee ifneeded.
  • Troubleshoots and reports any equipment malfunctions tothe Director/Manager and/or Biomedical personnel; does appropriatefollow-up.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Education/Skills

  • Graduate of an accredited school of RadiologyTechnology or other accepted and approved equivalent requiredExperience
  • 1 year of experience in a hospital preferred
  • Basiccomputer experience required Licenses, Registrations, orCertifications
  • Radiology (R) by ARRT required
  • State licensurerequired
  • Texas:

    MRT by TMB

  • BLS required
