Summary:

/n/n The MammographyTechnologist implements orders from physicians and assists withprocedures to help diagnose and treat breast disease in patients.

They perform screenings and diagnostic imaging procedures to assistin the diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases. They ensureaccurate imaging, maintain compliance with radiation safetystandards, and provide compassionate care to patients. Workingcollaboratively with physicians and healthcare teams, theyprioritize patient safety and comfort while maintaininghigh-quality imaging practices. /n/n

Essential Work Functions:

• Explains procedure to patients and answers questions if theyarise/n/t
• Positions patient appropriately for imagingprocedure/n/t
• Maintains medical imaging equipment, ensuresmachines are functioning properly, and organizes the procedure roomfor optimal safety and efficiency/n/t
• Monitor image qualityduring procedures, adjusting as needed achieve diagnosticaccuracy/n/t
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists andhealthcare teams as necessary/n/t
• Follows hospital policies,safety regulations, and infection control procedures/n/t
• Practiceinfection prevention through consistent hand hygiene, use of PPE,and isolation precautions/n/t
• Performs other duties as assignedwithin the scope of practice for
