Education:

Graduate of an

AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology Certifications Required:

ARRT Certification Valid Radiologic Technologist License (State of New York )

Key Responsibilities:

Establish rapport with patients and colleagues to understand service needs Gain patient cooperation by reducing anxiety and clearly explaining procedures Prepare and position patients for radiological procedures Adjust equipment and controls to achieve optimal imaging results Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff Adhere to infection control protocols and radiologic safety standards Produce high-quality radiographs following established procedures Document services and verify completed exams in both patient and departmental records Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and coordinate repairs Maintain inventory of radiology supplies and manage stock levels Ensure a safe, clean, and compliant working environment Stay current with professional knowledge and continuing education (CME requirements)
