POSITION SUMMARY
Monday-Friday schedule – possible call and weekend rotation Inpatient & outpatient care mix
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting pre-procedure histories and physical exams Providing inpatient consultative services in collaboration with the attending physician Provide patient follow up including inpatient and outpatient concerns Ordering diagnostic tests, labs, and medications in partnership with nursing staff Managing discharge instructions, prescriptions, and referrals Supporting quality improvement initiatives and clinical education Assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients undergoing interventional procedures Other duties as determined
EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE
Requires a master’s degree from an accredited Radiologist Assistant program, licensure/certification as a Registered Radiologist Assistant (RRA), and 2 or more years of related experience. NYS licensure and active DEA registration Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-acuity clinical setting Strong preference for candidates with surgical, interventional radiology (IR), emergency medicine, or ICU experience
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HAZARDS
Office/Clinical setting. Exposure class I – Routine or potential exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions or secretions. Intermittent to regular exposure to unpleasant physical conditions. Regular exposure to situations that could cause moderate to serious injury or illness. Radiation exposure – when testing equipment.

Heavy work: pushing, pulling, walking, standing, and lifting
