If you are a skilled CT Tech with a minimum of1-2 years of experience, please review the job duties below andapply today to hear more! Reviews radiology requisition andphysician order to ensure proper procedure is performed. Collectand ensure previous, pertinent exams are available forRadiologist’s review.
Instructs patient regarding procedures andpreps. Positions patient and, if necessary, restrains mobilitythrough use of immobilization devices.
Determines exposure factors;adjusts exposure factors and operates equipment according toestablished procedures to obtain diagnostic C.T. procedures anddiagnostic radiographs. Cleans and organizes work area to ensureproper supplies required for procedures are available. Processesand reviews quality of images. Reports need for equipmentadjustment or repair to Coordinator/Manager. Ensures that safetydevices such as shielding, lead aprons and gloves are utilizedproperly during procedures.
Continued need to update knowledge andskills through membership and participation in professionalassociations. Assists with on-the-job instruction of radiologystudents and orienting technologists.
Performs venous punctures forinjection of contrast media, monitors patient for reaction and/orcomplications.
Communicates wet/stat reading results to physicianoffices and discusses results with patient when requested to do so.
