Introduction:

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to provide knowledgeable and compassionate patient care in our state-of-the-art medical facility located in Staten Island, NY USA. As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will play a vital role in assisting physicians with interventional procedures, ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans for our patients. The successful candidate will have excellent technical skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures, including but not limited to angiography, embolization, biopsies, drainages, stent placements, and venous access procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
• Operate imaging equipment and assist physicians in obtaining diagnostic images.
• Administer contrast agents and other medications as required, following established protocols and guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely information for patient diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate medical records, documenting procedures, patient information, and other necessary data.
• Adhere to hospital policies and protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with research projects related to interventional radiology.
• Stay updated on the latest technological advancements and best practices in interventional radiology.

Requirements:

• Certified Radiologic Technologist ARRT (R)
• Peripheral and Neurovascular experience
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
• Proficiency in operating imaging equipment, such as angiography machines and fluoroscopy units.
• Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as radiographic positioning techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other healthcare software.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
