We are lookingto fill an immediate need for a dual modality CT/X-raytechnologist. The role includes a 37.5-hour weekly schedule. Theposition requires three 9.5-hour shifts and one 9-hour shift perweek. Coverage will include weekend shifts and floating weekdayshifts. Flexibility with evening and night hours is essential. Thisposition will provide support at multiple sites. Candidates mustmaintain behavior that promotes patient confidence and trust. Thetechnologist should be capable of workingindependently/unsupervised. Demonstrate proficiency in theperformance of Cat Scan Imaging Exams. Apply pediatricimmobilization devices adhering to safety precautions. Producecomputerized tomographic Radiographs of designated anatomical areasas ordered/directed. Prepare or enter written documentation asrequired by the department. This includes informed patient consentand patient chart documentation. Must observe sterile and aseptictechniques when necessary. Check equipment, supplies, andaccessories on a regular basis. Assess the physical needs of adultand geriatric patients. Recognize and ally patients’ fears andapprehensions about exams. Maintain orderliness and cleanliness ofwork areas. Complete requested examinations in a timely mannerwhile observing radiation safety standards. Address the specialneeds of each age group served. Assist in making reasonableaccommodations for patients with special needs. Observe bio-safetyand radiation safety rules and regulations. Responsibilities andduties may be changed or added at any time. Perform related dutiesin PACS. Responsible for knowing and adhering to establisheddepartment policies and procedures, including all aspects ofsafety. Ensure timely completion of requested examinations whileobserving radiation safety standards. Must be computer literate.

Select and operate equipment as directed. Be aware of and capableof preventing Sentinel Events. Demonstrate proficiency in theperformance of all diagnostic and fluoroscopic examinations andequipment. Maintain and exhibit behavior that promotes patientconfidence and trust. Capable of workingindependently/unsupervised.
