Position Highlights & PrimaryResponsibilities:
  • Identify anatomical orientation on all requiredimages and assures proper file identification on all images
  • Demonstrate competency for operating all MRI equipment andassociated equipment and software
  • Ensure the safety of all thoseentering the MR room through education and proper screeningprotocols
  • Maintain communication with radiologists and otherphysicians, patients and their families, and other persons
  • Perform quality control and reporting tasks, setting up andconducting MRI procedures, maintain day-to-day schedules, assistingradiologist, and contributing to the efficient operation of thedepartment assuring the quality and continuity of patient care
  • Acquire patients’ chart data/requisition and reviews both todetermine correct room set-up and learn of any specific medicalproblems, contraindications to the study and verify that the studybeing ordered correlates to the diagnostic needs
  • Educate patientsregarding procedure, equipment, and exam to ensure understandingand safety
  • Provide coverage as needed (i.e., in the event of callouts or extended patient schedules)
  • Provide instruction/mentoringto new hires
  • Scan according to guidelines
  • Maintain qualitystandards as it relates to HIPPA regulations
  • Assist in thecompletion of the accreditation process for American College ofRadiology (ACR) every three years
  • Maintain CPR certification
  • Demonstrate a positive patient experience; share information withpatients, providing knowledge about the procedure; ensuring theyare aware of follow-up steps and requirements
  • Demonstrate apositive experience from the referring providers, providingexcellent quality
  • Consistently submit images of diagnosticquality without recommendation of additional image acquisition;performs quality assurance on images and equipment; demonstratescompetency in utilizing systems
  • Make decisions authoritativelyand wisely after adequately contemplating various available coursesof action
  • Contribute to efficient out-patient Operations,maximizing the productivity of assigned modality
  • Observe patientfor vital signs during examination
  • Utilize sterile techniquespreventing contamination
  • Identify anatomical orientation on allrequired images and assures proper file identification on allimages
  • Review each examination for technical accuracy, presentscompleted examinations to radiologist, and communicates pertinentdata to persons responsible for the care of patients following theprocedure
  • Demonstrate teamwork; interacts in a positive mannerwith employees and contributes to a collaborative work environment
  • Meet or exceed deadlines, follows through, demonstratingaccountability, flexibility, and adaptability
  • Enhanceprofessional growth and maintain certifications, registration andactive CME’s through education programs, conferences, and workshopsOptum NY/NJ was formed in 2022 by bringing together RiversideMedical Group, CareMount Medical and ProHealth Care. Required Qualifications:
  • High schooldiploma or equivalent
  • ARRT (American Registry of RadiologicTechnologist)
  • MRI certification
  • Demonstrated ability to followoral and written instructions
  • Demonstrated ability to communicatewith patients, visitors, and employees within the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to adequately use, or learn to use, thedepartment’s computerized system and its associated devices
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or Baccalaureatedegree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine
  • 1years of MRI Technologist experience
Physical Demands:
  • Requiresstanding and walking for extended periods of time
  • Must be able tolift and carry items weighting up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able tolift patients weighting up to 300 pounds and place them inappropriate positions for operation of equipment
  • Requireseyesight correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment and reviewdeveloped films Core customers and key relationships:

  • External Medical Partners The hourly range for this role is$28.

61 to $56.06 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay isbased on several factors including but not limited to local labormarkets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.
