Key Responsibilities Prepare and position patients for CT examinations, clearly explaining procedures to ensure comfort, cooperation, and understanding. Operate CT scanners to acquire high-quality diagnostic images, adjusting technical parameters based on the specific anatomy and clinical requirements. Administer contrast media (oral or intravenous) in accordance with safety protocols, monitoring for and responding to any adverse reactions. Evaluate image quality to ensure clarity, accuracy, and diagnostic value; repeat scans as necessary. Monitor patient status during procedures, recognizing and promptly addressing any complications or clinical concerns. Perform routine equipment checks , calibration, and basic troubleshooting to maintain imaging system performance and safety. Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and infection control protocols to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary exposure. Document procedures accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR), maintaining compliance with HIPAA and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to relay imaging observations and contribute to the broader diagnostic and treatment process. Required Skills and Certifications ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) Proficiency in patient positioning and cross-sectional anatomy Knowledge of radiation safety principles and ALARA standards Excellent communication and patient service skills Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
