Position Highlights & Primary Responsibilities:
  • Identify anatomical orientation on all required images and assuresproper file identification on all images
  • Demonstrate competencyfor operating all MRI equipment and associated equipment andsoftware
  • Ensure the safety of all those entering the MR roomthrough education and proper screening protocols
  • Maintaincommunication with radiologists and other physicians, patients andtheir families, and other persons
  • Perform quality control andreporting tasks, setting up and conducting MRI procedures, maintainday-to-day schedules, assisting radiologist, and contributing tothe efficient operation of the department assuring the quality andcontinuity of patient care
  • Acquire patients’ chartdata/requisition and reviews both to determine correct room set-upand learn of any specific medical problems, contraindications tothe study and verify that the study being ordered correlates to thediagnostic needs
  • Educate patients regarding procedure, equipment,and exam to ensure understanding and safety
  • Provide coverage asneeded (i.e., in the event of call outs or extended patientschedules)
  • Provide instruction/mentoring to new hires
  • Scanaccording to guidelines
  • Maintain quality standards as it relatesto HIPPA regulations
  • Assist in the completion of theaccreditation process for American College of Radiology (ACR) everythree years
  • Maintain CPR certification
  • Demonstrate a positivepatient experience; share information with patients, providingknowledge about the procedure; ensuring they are aware of follow-upsteps and requirements
  • Demonstrate a positive experience from thereferring providers, providing excellent quality
  • Consistentlysubmit images of diagnostic quality without recommendation ofadditional image acquisition; performs quality assurance on imagesand equipment; demonstrates competency in utilizing systems
  • Makedecisions authoritatively and wisely after adequately contemplatingvarious available courses of action
  • Contribute to efficientout-patient Operations, maximizing the productivity of assignedmodality
  • Observe patient for vital signs during examination
  • Utilize sterile techniques preventing contamination
  • Identifyanatomical orientation on all required images and assures properfile identification on all images
  • Review each examination fortechnical accuracy, presents completed examinations to radiologist,and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the careof patients following the procedure
  • Demonstrate teamwork;interacts in a positive manner with employees and contributes to acollaborative work environment
  • Meet or exceed deadlines, followsthrough, demonstrating accountability, flexibility, andadaptability
  • Enhance professional growth and maintaincertifications, registration and active CME’s through educationprograms, conferences, and workshops Optum NY/NJ was formed in 2022by bringing together Riverside Medical Group, CareMount Medical andProHealth Care. Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist)
  • MR certified
  • MRI certification
  • Demonstrated ability to follow oral andwritten instructions
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate withpatients, visitors, and employees within the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to adequately use, or learn to use, thedepartment’s computerized system and its associated devices
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or Baccalaureatedegree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine
  • 1years of MRI Technologist experience
Physical Demands:
  • Requiresstanding and walking for extended periods of time
  • Must be able tolift and carry items weighting up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able tolift patients weighting up to 300 pounds and place them inappropriate positions for operation of equipment
  • Requireseyesight correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment and reviewdeveloped films Core customers and key relationships:

  • External Medical Partners The hourly range for this role is$28.

61 to $56.06 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay isbased on several factors including but not limited to local labormarkets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.
