Our client, an esteemed medicalfacility, is seeking an IR Technologist to administer contrast inaccordance with assigned protocols under the direction of theproceduralist and demonstrate proper positioning and appropriateradiographic techniques for all interventional procedures. Responsibilities Administers contrast inaccordance with assigned protocols under the direction of theproceduralist. Demonstrate proper positioning and appropriateradiographic techniques for all interventional procedures. Exhibitsa clear understanding of correct patient preparation, equipmentoperations and patient monitoring systems. Identifies all patientsproperly by using two patient identifiers and utilizes universalprotocol when performing procedures. Reviews patient history andassesses physician orders, applying specific departmental protocolsfor optimal results in the acquisition of data. Documents patienthistory in electronic record as required. Fosters an environmentthat supports aseptic technique during procedures and patientsafety with the incorporation of a time-out process. Demonstratesthe ability to communicate instructions to patients in a clear andconcise manner and explain procedures to help allay the patient?sfears and solicit their cooperation. Ensures all exams withinhis/her area of responsibility are properly coded and trackedthrough RIS system, all exams are properly networked to ISITE forarchiving and interpretation, and all charges are adequatelyentered for the exams performed. Demonstrates a strong ability tointeract with both patients and co-workers, while displaying a highlevel of caring, listening, dignity and respect. Able to work asteam member within the department and all other departments toexpedite patient care efficiently. Support other departmentsperforming general radiographic procedures, if needed. RequirementsGraduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology, orcompletion IR Tech Advanced level: Completion of formal training inIR-related program accredited by the ARRT. 2 years IR experiencerequired. CPR or BLS Required. CPR required based on AHA standardsthat include both a didactic and skills demonstration componentwithin 30 days of hire ARRT Certificate OR Registered CardiacElectrophysiology Specialist OR Registered Cardiovascular InvasiveSpecialist Basic Life Support (BLS) OR CardiopulmonaryResuscitation (CPR) Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal Act33 with renewal Act 34 with renewal M3
