Our client, anesteemed medical facility, is seeking an MRI Technologist tooperate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners and createdetailed images of patients’ internal structures. These imagesassist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. Ifyou are intrigued and would like to learn more, we encourage you tosubmit your application! Responsibilities Maintains clinicalcompetencies for all exams and equipment. Identifies all patientsproperly by using two patient identifiers and utilizes universalprotocol when performing procedures. Review patient history andassess physician orders, applying specific departmental protocolsfor optimal results in data acquisition, including the labeling/preparation/and administration of contrast. Documents patienthistory in electronic record as required. Prior to the start of theexam, read and presents all relevant information to the physicianbased on the protocol Ensures all exams within his/her area ofresponsibility are properly coded and tracked through RIS system,all patient information is updated and documented in RadAssessment, all exams are properly networked to ISITE for archivingand interpretation, and all charges are adequately entered for theexams performed. Practices and maintains MR safety in thedepartment. Demonstrates a strong ability to interact with bothpatients and co-workers, while displaying a high level of caring,listening, dignity and respect. Able to work as team member withinthe department and all other departments to expedite patient careefficiently. Performs procedures for reviewing, processing andarchiving. Demonstrates the ability to communicate instructions topatients in a clear and concise manner and explain procedures tohelp allay the patient’s fears and solicit their cooperation.
Requirements MRI Tech:
Graduate of an ARRT approved school ofRadiologic Technology, or completion of an accredited CNMT programor accredited ARDMS program and Must obtain MR registry within 18months of hire date.
MRI Tech Advanced level:
Completion of formaltraining in MRI-related program accredited by the ARRT. 2 years MRIexperience required. CPR or BLS Required. CPR required based on AHAstandards that include both a didactic and skills demonstrationcomponent within 30 days of hire ARRT Certificate OR NuclearMedicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) OR Registered DiagnosticMedical Sonographer (ARDMS) Basic Life Support (BLS) ORCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Act 31 Child Abuse Reportingwith renewal Act 33 with renewal Act 34 with renewal M3
