RequiredQualifications:

• One year of recent experience as a CTTechnologist
• Valid Radiology license in compliance with stateregulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

PreferredQualifications:

• Current ARRT Certification
• Other certificationsand licenses may be required for this position

Summary:

The CT Techoperates computerized tomography (CT) scanners to producecross-sectional images of patients’ bodies for diagnostic purposes.

They prepare patients for the procedure, position patients withconsiderations for safety and image accuracy, ensure proper imagingprotocols are followed, and work closely with radiologists toobtain high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. CT Techs alsomaintain equipment, keep patient records, and follow safetyprocedures to minimize radiation exposure and provide compassionatecare to patients throughout the imaging process.

Essential WorkFunctions:

• Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional imagesof bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes
• Preparepatients for procedures, explain imaging process, and positionpatients appropriately
• Set appropriate technical parameters toaccurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology
• Provide high-qualityimages to Radiologist for interpretation
• Adhere to radiationsafety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staffsafety
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CTequipment to ensure proper functionality
• Document patientinformation, imaging parameters, and procedural details accuratelyin the hospital’s system
• Collaborate with radiologists,physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timelydiagnostic services
• Ability to adapt to different CT equipmentand protocols across various healthcare facilities
• Perform otherduties as assigned within the scope of CT Tech practice

RequiredEssential Skills:

• The ability to read, write, &communicate in the English language is required
• Ability toread/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions,and proficiency in PC skills

• Remain in astationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs),pushing, pulling, bending

• To workeffectively with a variety of personnel (professional andancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism

• Ability to grasp, fine manipulation,pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting withprocedures and/or using department equipment.

• Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the generalpublic, customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must beable to work under close supervision occasionally as well asworking without assistance from other personnel. Must be able tocontend with irregular activity schedules occasionally andcontinuous concentration to detail
