RequiredQualifications:
- One year’s experience as Radiologic Technologist
- Current Radiologic Technologist/ Radiography license incompliance with state regulations
- Current BLS Certification(AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current ARRT Certification
- Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
Summary:
The Radiologic Technologist performs advanced imagingprocedures using radiographic equipment to produce high-qualityimages that aid physicians in diagnosing and treating medicalconditions. They ensure patient safety, maintain equipmentfunctionality, and collaborate with healthcare teams to deliveraccurate and effective diagnostic results.
Essential WorkFunctions:
- Educate patients about imaging procedures and answerquestions if they arise
- Prepare and operate advanced radiologicequipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images according tophysician orders
- Maintains equipment and sterilizes the room inwhich procedure takes place
- Prepare and operate advancedradiologic equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic imagesaccording to physician orders
- Evaluates images for quality,present images and preliminary findings to physicians and healthcare team
- Maintain and inspect imaging equipment for properfunctionality, troubleshooting issues and reporting malfunctions asneeded
- Document all imaging procedures and technical detailsaccurately in patient records
- Follows hospital safety rules andprocedures including infection control and radiation safetyprotocols
- Performs other duties as assigned within the scope ofRadiologic Technologist practice
Required Essential Skills:
- Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonalcommunication skills
- The ability to read, write, & communicate inthe English language is required
- Ability to read/comprehendwritten instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiencyin PC skills
- Physical Abilities
- Remain in a stationaryposition, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling,bending
- Interpersonal Skills
- To work effectively with a varietyof personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positiveattitude and professionalism
- Technical/Motor Skills
- Ability tograsp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move aboutwhen assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.
- Mental Requirements
- Must be able to cope with frequent contactwith the general public, customers, and meeting deadlines underpressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionallyas well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must beable to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally andcontinuous concentration to detail
