Job Title:
X-Ray Tech Hours:
Negotiable. Ideally looking for a candidate interested in full time work, but are open to part time with just evening hours (4-7:30pm). The position could be 5 days a week working 8 hour shifts (11-7:30p) Monday-Thursday and 8:30-5 pm on Friday or 4 days a week working 10 hour days (9-7:30p). Periodic Saturday morning work (8:30-12p)
Position Summary:
Responsible for providing professional and effective health care to all patients by utilizing x-ray skills and medical knowledge.
Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent (required) AART Certification (required) CPR certification (preferred) Valid PA Drivers License (required) 6 months of experience as an X-Ray Tech (preferred) Display knowledge of use of x-ray equipment Display knowledge of various office equipment including a PC, copier, fax and telephone. (required)
Essential Duties:
Performs x-rays on patients as ordered by physicians using appropriate x-ray techniques and completes in a timely fashion. Assists in maintaining patient flow in office; escorts patients to exam rooms and prepares for the exam. Assists physician when necessary. Assists with maintaining the medical area. Ensures that all designated supplies are kept current. Must possess flexibility with doctors schedules to ensure coverage. Files all correspondence, reports and forms in accurate location and in an orderly fashion. Displays neat, legible handwriting. Records all patient information in charts according to the LOG System. Documents appropriately all phone conversations from patients for filing in chart. Assist in the nursing duties of the office as needed.
