We are seeking an Interventional Radiology Tech to join our Department of Care Coordination at The Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI. In this full-time role, you will assist the Interventional Radiology Director, Lead Technologist and other interventional radiologists in performing vascular and interventional exams. •Eligible for up to $20,000 Sign-on Bonus•

Responsibilities:

Aid the radiologist in performing interventional and angiographic procedures and in diagnosing diseases as requested by the patient’s doctor Prepare surgical trays, supplies, equipment, and ensure sterile conditions during special procedures, and carry out scrub and circulate duties involving selective catheterization of arteries Monitor reactions to iodine contrast injections, peripheral pulses, and assist in setting up the EKG/pressure monitor when required Maintain emergency drugs, equipment inventory and expiration dates according to policy, adjust immobilization devices and assemble necessary equipment and supplies Prepare reports and keep records of services provided, and ensure the correct charge codes are on requisitions Complete cases and provide necessary information in the EMR, accurately input supplies inventory management system and complete cases in PACS.

Qualifications:

Must be a Registered Radiologic Technologist with valid license to practice in RI 2+ years of formal training in a School of Radiologic Technology or similar year of experience in angiography is preferred, but not required Proven knowledge and skills to care for patients throughout the aging process and across human development stages and cultural patterns at every step of the care process Working at Brown University Health As of October 15, 2024, Lifespan is now Brown University Health.
