TravelJob Duties•Responsible for the care and safety of patients during imagingprocedures utilizing age appropriate care. Following establishedprotocols and under the direction of Radiologists, clinical staffwill perform procedures for the direct results of interpretations.

Obtains correct written order for procedure. Efficient use of timeto accomplish patient care assignments while meeting work quality,quantity and timeliness expectations. Assists in the clinicaleducation of student technologists. Efficient utilization of imaging equipment with attention tominimizing repeat examinations. Uses supplies with emphasis on costcontainment. 20% Instructs and prepares patients regarding imaging proceduresand assists in obtaining informed consent as needed. Ensurespatient’s understanding of procedure. Communicates with familymembers regarding discharge instructions. Responds actively andwith sensitivity to the needs of internal and externalcustomers. Ensures correct orders, diagnosis and clinical history areentered into computer system. Communicates with Radiologistregarding procedure and is effective in communications in bothverbal and in written situations and presents a positive andprofessional demeanor. Adheres to hospital, departmental and safety policies andprocedures. Practices good radiation protection and followsestablished guidelines for DHEC and TJC and other governingorganizations. Practices radiation safety in accordance with ALARAprinciples. Assists other members of the Imaging Team and/or otherdisciplines including clerical staff in order to maintain records,reports and files. Consistently assists others in their own sectionor helps other sections of the imaging department. Functions as ateam player by helping wherever help is needed. Demonstratesflexibility and accountability in job duties and is a self-starter.

Takes initiative towards improving departmental operations (offersideas and solutions) and consistently completes EDE•REQUIREMENTS•One plus years of experience•
