– Diagnostic Radiology (CMC)Pay Rate Type Hourly Pay Grade Health-26 Scheduled Weekly Hours 8Work Shift Job Description The Staff Technologist provides patientservices using imaging modalities, performs diagnostic procedures.

Applies principles of radiation protection and the ALARA principle,exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures,provides patient care essential to imaging procedures, recognizespatient conditions requiring immediate action and initiates lifesupport measures, establishes and maintains a good rapport andprofessional relationship with fellow employees, other departmentsand Medical Staff. Performs imaging services “on call” as needed.

PRN Status Clause:

This is a PRN as-needed position, you must beavailable to work at least 12 hours bi-weekly, as needed accordingto departmental demands. You may be required to work additionalhours if requested by your supervisor to accomplish workobjectives. Work hours may vary (increase or decrease) depending onthe needs of the unit.

Additional Job Description Education:

Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology

Experience:

Competency in components of Imaging practice asappropriate

Licenses/Certificates:

Registered with the AmericanRegistry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or eligible. Licensurefrom the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association isrequired (SCRQSA). Advanced ARRT preferred. Current Basic LifeSupport (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
