MRI Tech Dube Orthopedics & Physical Therapy Hermitage, TN 37076 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans on patients, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic evaluation. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques, anatomy, and patient care to deliver accurate results while maintaining patient safety and comfort. Duties Perform MRI scans according to established protocols and procedures. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns. Ensure the proper positioning of patients to obtain optimal images while adhering to safety standards. Maintain and operate MRI equipment, conducting routine checks and troubleshooting as necessary. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and assist in diagnostic evaluations. Maintain accurate records of patient information, scan results, and equipment usage. Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during all procedures. Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques. Requirements Proven experience in medical imaging, specifically MRI technology. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes and imaging protocols. Ability to perform sonography or CT scans is a plus but not required. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage patient records accurately. Certification as an MRI Technologist from an accredited institution is preferred. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if needed.
