Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to,experience, skills, education, performance and salary range at thetime of the offer. Responsibilities Provide mammography imagingservices.

  • Operate equipment and performs various mammographyrelated procedures. Prepare and positions patients and selectsanatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  • Explain proceduresand educates patients about the role of regular mammography inpreventive breast health.
  • Develop and evaluate the film fortechnical quality such as density contrast, definition, anddistortion.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images anddocuments sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers andpatient data/history).
  • Ensure equipment is properly functioning.

Reports potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriatepersonnel.

  • Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly departmentto include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, filmstorage area and any other areas in department.

RequirementsLicensure / Certification /

Registration:

Required Credential(s):

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or jobtransfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Crossaccepted.
  • One or more of the following:
  • Cardiographic Techcredentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International(CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography credentialedfrom the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • MedicalSonographer credentialed from the American Registry for DiagnosticMedical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or jobtransfer date.
Education:
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2years of cumulative experience OR Associate’s degree/Technicaldegree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experiencerequired. Additional Preferences
  • One year of recent experience asa Mammographer strongly preferred.
  • Local and national traveloptions are available depending on need.

Candidates are stipendeligible for sites over 50 miles from their permanent residence.
