JOB SUMMARY

This position will perform x-ray testingincluding body mechanics and patient movement using knowledge ofanatomy and physiology. Operates diagnostic equipment, developsfilm and prepares the room with the necessary equipment andsupplies for the procedure. Our full-time team members work arotating 36-40 hour/week schedule, consisting of 12-hour weekdayshifts and every-other weekend. Our PRN (per diem) team members arescheduled on an as-needed basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Thefollowing duties and responsibilities generally reflect theexpectations of this position but are not intended to be allinclusive. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs timelyradiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment byattending physician
  • Performs necessary quality controlprocedures to ensure quality exams are performed
  • Preparespatients for radiologic procedures and follows established clinicaland regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care;including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques.
  • Ensures that equipment is in proper working order and reports anymalfunctions to the Area Manager or provider on duty.
  • Followsdocumentation procedures and completes required documentationrelated to patient visit.
  • Assumes responsibility formaintaining and improving diagnostic imaging knowledge and skillswith the support and assistance of outside educational resources
  • Responsible for maintaining current licensure and certificationfor the facility radiology equipment and licensure
