Reviews patient history and physician’s orders.

Drag Edit DeleteEducates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient’s understanding and cooperation.

Drag Edit DeleteWhen ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.

Drag Edit DeleteMonitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.

May assist physician with performing interventional procedures including fine needle aspiration and needle localization.

Drag Edit DeletePrepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.

Drag Edit DeletePositions patient and performs imaging procedure(s), biopsies, stereotactic and special procedures. Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure.

Drag Edit DeleteEnters, transmits and reports scan results.

Drag Edit DeleteParticipates in ensuring compliance with the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) regulations and applicable accrediations.

Drag Edit DeleteKeeps current with BiRad and follow-ups on all patients.

• Minimum Education

• Required Skills
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

American Heart Association or American Red Cross Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire or must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

  Registered and in good standing with ARRT in Radiology, CT and MammographyDrag Edit Delete

• Minimum Work Experience
• 1 year experience in CT specialty, performing a wide array of CT procedures and Mammography performing screening, diagnostic, interventional procedures.
